Help you understand how pulse water meters work.
A pulse water meter is a smart water meter based on the principle of pulse counting. According to their operating principles, they are mainly divided into three types: “single- and dual-reed switch meters,” “Hall-effect element meters,” and “optoelectronic conversion meters.” Next, we’ll introduce how they work.
1. Photoelectric Conversion Principle
First-class pulse water meters typically consist of an optoelectronic transmitter, a receiver, and a reflector. When the reflector mounted on the rotating disk passes by the transmitter, infrared light is reflected off the reflector and directed toward the receiver. With each full rotation of the disk, the receiver generates a measurement pulse. This type of pulse water meter not only often requires no power source at all, but also ensures error-free code decoding and eliminates the need for memory storage.

2. Reed Switch Principle
A reed switch and a magnetic component are installed inside the water meter’s counting dial. The reed switch is fixed near the counting dial, while the magnetic component is mounted on the counting disc. As the dial rotates one full turn, the magnetic component passes by the reed switch once, causing the reed switch to close once—thus generating a measurement pulse at the receiving end.
3. Hall element principle
By installing a Hall element and a magnetic component inside a pulse-type water meter with a rotating dial, a sensor based on magneto-electric conversion is constructed. The Hall element is fixed near the counting dial, while the magnetic component is mounted on the counting disc. As the dial rotates one full circle, the magnetic component passes by the Hall element once, generating a corresponding potential difference—thus producing a measurement pulse at the receiving end.

Longzhida Company Successfully Hosted the Victory Parade Commemorating the War of Resistance.
Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
