Precautions for Using a Mixing Valve
A mixing valve is a device that provides constant-temperature hot water and reduces water temperature. It is assembled primarily using a thermostatic mixing valve as its main component. It inherits all the advantages of automatic thermostatic mixing valves for cold and hot water, and includes types such as underfloor heating mixing valves and automatic thermostatic mixing valves.
According to the national standards for the installation of hot and cold water pipes on walls, the hot water pipe should be on the left and the cold water pipe on the right. Moreover, the installation crew will design it for you accordingly. Simply distinguishing between hot and cold water on the pipes is done by using red and blue lines: the red line indicates hot water, while the blue line indicates cold water.
Precautions:
1. PPR hot-water pipes can replace cold-water pipes, but PPR cold-water pipes cannot replace hot-water pipes.
2. When the ambient temperature falls below 10°C, the brittleness of PPR pipes increases. Additionally, the water stored in PPR pipes must not be allowed to drop below 0°C; otherwise, the water could freeze and cause the pipes to burst.
3. When purchasing, pay attention to distinguishing between hot and cold water pipes.
