What should I do if the bathwater temperature keeps fluctuating between hot and cold?
Traditional bathing practices
Traditional bathhouses and bathing centers typically use dual-pipe water supply systems, with manual thermostatic valves used to adjust the water temperature to a comfortable level. During our baths, we often find that halfway through, the water temperature suddenly becomes either too cold or too hot—uncomfortable for bathing—and we have to readjust the temperature again. But soon after, the water temperature starts fluctuating wildly, alternating between hot and cold.
This phenomenon is particularly prominent in public bathing facilities such as bathhouses, swimming pools, hotels, and guesthouses. On the one hand, the fluctuating water temperature—alternating between hot and cold—can make people feel uncomfortable while bathing. If the water is too hot, it can easily scald the elderly or children. On the other hand, constantly adjusting the water temperature to compensate for these fluctuations also results in a significant waste of hot water. So how can we address the issue of fluctuating water temperatures during bathing?

The usual solution to the hot-and-cold phenomenon.
1. By using a smart boiler or a high-horsepower air-source heat pump, the water temperature can be directly heated to around 40°C and supplied directly for use. Since the water demand for communal bathing varies significantly, the installed heat source must be sufficiently powerful. However, this approach will increase investment costs.
2. Pre-mixed water approach: In this method, water is pre-mixed to around 40°C and then supplied through pipes when needed. This approach is suitable for purchased hot water systems, small smart boilers, or air-source heat pumps. It requires a hot water tank with sufficient capacity. However, the pre-mixing process necessitates additional equipment, such as a pre-mixing tank, a three-way mixing valve, a pump, and a control box, thereby increasing the space required for the equipment installation.
3. Although thermostatic mixing valves effectively address the issue of water temperature, their unique mechanical design makes them highly susceptible to water quality factors such as impurities and scaling, which in turn affect their service life and stability. As a result, these valves often require frequent replacement or cleaning, causing inconvenience for users.

Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
