Addressing the issue of fluctuating water temperatures during showers is no longer a technical challenge.
Traditional bathing practices
Traditional bathhouses and bathing centers typically use dual-pipe water supply systems, with manual temperature-control valves used to adjust the water temperature to a comfortable level. However, during bathing, people often encounter situations where, halfway through their shower, the water temperature suddenly becomes either too cold or too hot—making it unsuitable for bathing—and they have to readjust the temperature again. Soon after, the water temperature starts fluctuating wildly between hot and cold once more. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced in public bathing facilities such as bathhouses, swimming pools, hotels, and guesthouses. On the one hand, these sudden temperature changes make bathing uncomfortable and can even cause burns to elderly individuals or children if the water is too hot. On the other hand, repeatedly adjusting the water temperature not only wastes large amounts of hot water but also increases energy consumption. So how can we address the issue of fluctuating water temperatures during bathing? The pressure-free intelligent mixing valve offers you a worry-free solution.

The usual solution to the hot-and-cold phenomenon.
1. By using a smart boiler or a high-horsepower air-source heat pump, the water temperature can be directly heated to bathing water and supplied for immediate use. Since the volume of water required for communal bathing varies considerably, the selected heat source must be sufficiently powerful. However, this approach will increase investment costs.
2. Pre-mixed water method: This approach involves using a sufficiently large water tank to pre-mix water with the bathing water. When needed, the mixed water is pumped through pipes to the shower. It’s suitable for systems that use purchased hot water, small smart boilers, or air-source heat pumps. To implement this method, you’ll need to install a hot-water tank with adequate capacity. However, pre-mixing water requires additional equipment, such as a pre-mixing tank, a three-way mixing valve, a pump, and a control box, which increases the overall space required for the installation.
3. The use of thermostatic mixing valves can effectively address the issue of water temperature. However, due to their unique mechanical design, these valves are significantly affected by water quality—issues such as impurities and scaling can compromise their service life and stability, necessitating frequent replacement or cleaning and causing inconvenience for users.
