1. The working principle of ultrasonic heat meters
A heat meter is an instrument used to measure heat quantity. Its operating principle is as follows: A pair of temperature sensors is installed on the rising and falling pipes through which the heat-carrying fluid flows, and these sensors transmit temperature signals. A flow sensor is installed at the fluid inlet or return pipe, and it transmits a signal proportional to the flow rate. The heat quantity in the heat exchange system is then calculated by processing the collected flow and temperature signals using a specific formula.

2. Working Principle and Structure of Ultrasonic Heat Meters
An ultrasonic heat meter consists of a flow sensor, a microprocessor, paired temperature sensors, a display, and a communication module. The paired temperature sensors are used to measure water temperature, while the ultrasonic flow sensor measures the volume of fluid flowing through the system. Among these components, the flow measurement system—comprising the ultrasonic flow sensor and the microprocessor—is the core of the ultrasonic heat meter. The microprocessor acts as the “brain” of the ultrasonic heat meter; it integrates the flow signals and temperature signals, controls the entire measurement process in chronological order, and is entirely responsible for the smooth operation of the meter. The liquid crystal display on the ultrasonic heat meter is primarily used to show the measured data. Many ultrasonic heat meters can be equipped with communication modules and remote meter-reading devices to facilitate data transmission.
