Why are wireless remote-read water meters popular with consumers?
Recently, sales of wireless remote-read water meters in the market have been steadily increasing without showing any signs of decline. So, why are wireless remote-read water meters so popular? Let’s explore the clues behind their growing appeal together.
Generally speaking, according to the wireless fidelity modes adopted by smart water meter manufacturers, smart water meters can be categorized into GPRS, CDMA, NB-IoT, and LoRa. Therefore, a wireless LoRa remote water meter is a type of smart water meter. The wireless LoRa smart water meter is a high-tech, mechatronic product. It leverages advanced wireless transmission technology and microelectronic control circuits to convert measurement data from traditional mechanical water meters into electrical signals and store them digitally. Measurement data can be automatically replicated via a wireless remote network, and the control valve can also be remotely operated manually through wireless communication, with the data being sent to the backend system. Its main features are:

1. Communication Distance: The communication distance of the wireless module is optimized according to different requirements, with a point-to-point communication distance of no less than 1500 meters.
2. Voltage Self-Check Function: This meter can perform a self-check of its voltage. When the battery is depleted, the meter can promptly upload this information to the management platform, enabling administrators to quickly identify and address any issues. 3. Power-Failure Data Retention Function: The wireless LoRa remote transmission water meter’s internal electronic module features power-failure data retention. Even after the meter is turned off, the data will not be lost. 4. Anti-Magnetic Interference Function: The water authority has stringent requirements for the anti-magnetic performance of smart water meters. When two reed switches are simultaneously subjected to magnetic interference and experience attraction, the valve automatically closes; once the interference disappears, the valve automatically reopens.
