On Optoelectronic Direct-Reading Remote Water Meters
Performance Features Optoelectronic direct-read remote transmission water meter—ultrasonic measurement, segmented calibration, high measurement accuracy, and low-pressure alarm function. Since there’s no magnetic measurement, it’s immune to strong magnetic field attacks. The GSM wireless meter reading system facilitates field operations and boasts a long transmission range. It can freeze consumption records and upload historical data, capable of uploading 96 records per day. Featuring ultra-low power consumption (static power consumption less than 10uA) and a high-definition LCD display. The meter’s optoelectronic direct-read and remote-transmission water meter pipe section is an integrated, straight-through structure manufactured using forging technology, making it robust and wear-resistant. The measuring mechanism has no moving parts, ensuring zero wear and maintaining measurement accuracy regardless of the meter’s service life. Encased in epoxy resin, it can operate underwater and is easy to install—allowing for both horizontal and vertical mounting.

Flow Performance: Both the basic metering technology and production processes are imported from Germany. The unique design ensures low sensitivity and high cycle performance of the water meter. The WS vertical helical vane large-diameter water meter combines the advantages of both horizontal helical vane and rotary vane water meters. It employs full-flow detection, measuring axial flow rate with high accuracy—especially at low flow rates, where its precision surpasses that of other types of water meters. The built-in stainless steel filter screen guarantees long-term stable operation of the product. The WPHD model is suitable for measuring ultra-large flow rates. The internal cavity of the housing features a rectifying function that effectively reduces the impact of interfering components—such as bends, T-pipes, reducers, filters, and valves—installed upstream of the water meter on measurement accuracy. Its anti-interference performance reaches the highest level, U0 and D0.

High-level protection: Utilizing advanced copper sealing technology, the device achieves an overall protection rating of IP68, ensuring that the surface remains free from moisture and fogging.

Accurate readings: Utilizing infrared photoelectric transmission sampling, the device is unaffected by ambient light, requires no mechanical contact or mechanical action, and is immune to vibrations caused by pipelines or other factors that could lead to reading errors. Real-time readings are completely consistent with the mechanical indicator values.

Long service life: Featuring a low-power design, the device is powered by the collection equipment only for a brief period during reading. The electronic unit operates for a short duration, and its service life significantly exceeds the national inspection cycle for water meters.

Safe Use: The high-voltage power supply is physically isolated from the water meter and features high insulation strength, ensuring safe operation.

Real-time meter reading function: It can read metering data and status data from the meter in real time according to remote transmission instructions. It collects the current meter readings in real time, providing metrological assurance for accurately accounting for the difference between production and sales.

Measurement accuracy: The sensor is non-magnetic and non-contact, eliminating the risk of inaccurate readings caused by external magnetic interference. The electronic reading device does not affect the measurement accuracy of the original primary instrument.

Remote transmission function: Utilizing M-BUS or RS485 interfaces, this feature enables remote data transmission without requiring a power supply inside the water meter. During reading and data acquisition, the meter is briefly powered by the collection device; thus, the electronic components have a short operating life, but the overall effective service life of the device far exceeds the mandatory inspection period.

Easy maintenance: The electromechanical conversion module features a plug-in design, allowing the water meter to be installed independently. This module is highly versatile and interchangeable, enabling it to be transferred between two different types of water meters.
