How do smart water meters ensure safe water usage for villagers?
Water is the source of life. Due to geographical differences and resource scarcity, water quality in rural areas has long been a concern. Ensuring that villagers have access to safe and reliable drinking water is not only a persistent issue for the nation but also a goal that businesses have been striving to achieve. Consequently, smart water meters have become a top priority for promotion in rural communities.
The smart water meter for “rural water supply” is a key factor.
An intelligent water meter is a new type of water meter that uses modern microelectronics technology, advanced sensing technology, and smart IC card technology to measure water consumption, transmit water-use data, and facilitate billing and settlement transactions. Compared with traditional water meters, which typically only have the functions of collecting flow rates and displaying water consumption via mechanical pointers, this represents a significant advancement. In addition to recording and electronically displaying water consumption, intelligent water meters can also control water usage according to pre-agreed parameters, automatically calculate water bills based on tiered pricing, and store water-use data.
Today, the Internet of Things is profoundly impacting the world—and it’s also transforming rural and township areas, even remote regions deep in the mountains. Therefore, to achieve reliable rural water supply, smart water meters are a critical factor. Due to the complex and ever-changing mountainous and remote geographical conditions, meter reading and billing become extremely challenging, leading to high labor costs and an inability to promptly and effectively relay water usage data back to management authorities.

Therefore, in most rural areas of our country, the renovation project has been carried out using functional water meters. In July 2019, the Rural Water Supply Management Office of Fuan City procured smart water meters worth 220,000 yuan. In 2020, the town of Dasongezhuang replaced 1,352 IC-card smart water meters in three pilot villages across the entire town. It is expected that by the end of this year, all remaining 36 villages will also be equipped with IC-card smart water meters. Currently, most rural communities are using smart water meters, and these meters have received positive feedback from villagers. The penetration rate of smart water meters in rural areas is steadily increasing.
Chengde Longzhida Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. has developed an IC-card water meter that can record the meter’s operational status. Through a microcomputer and under system management software, the meter’s operating conditions are displayed, enabling effective monitoring. This innovation helps address the challenges of unpaid water bills and in-home meter readings, thereby saving manpower, resources, and financial costs for water supply departments and enhancing management efficiency. The product boasts high quality and stable performance, earning widespread praise from our customers. We look forward to collaborating with you!

Longzhida Company Successfully Hosted the Victory Parade Commemorating the War of Resistance.
Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
