On the Principle of Large-Caliber Smart Water Meters
Our company’s water meter series is a new type of wireless remote-control smart water meter, consisting of a meter base and a computer-based remote-control system. Using a handheld operator as the medium, various encrypted data are transmitted wirelessly from the handheld device to the smart water meter’s control system. The remote control system issues commands to open or close the valve. When a user’s water consumption falls below the preset threshold, the meter automatically triggers an alarm. An LCD display indicator prompts the user to purchase water. When water usage reaches zero, the valve automatically shuts off, thereby enabling prepaid control for industrial water meters and achieving the goal of “pay first, use water later.”
It overturns the traditional method of controlling water valves via mechanical switches, enabling low-power switching of large-diameter valves and putting an end to the fixed design of water meters and valves that has persisted for over 120 years. By integrating electronic information technology, it enables prepaid water usage, thus ushering in a new era for water meters.
