The difference between frost-proof water meters and ordinary smart water meters
Both frost-proof water meters and conventional smart water meters are metering devices designed for different environments. Frost-proof water meters are specifically tailored for relatively cold climates, whereas conventional smart water meters cannot be used in cold environments. These two types of meters provide convenience for different customers, enabling more people to enjoy the ease and convenience brought by smart water meters.
Next, we’ll introduce the differences between frost-proof water meters and ordinary smart water meters.
Frost-resistant water meters typically employ a dual frost-protection standard: one is to use thicker meter glass, and the other is to incorporate a dry-type frost-proof mechanism. The meter glass used in frost-resistant water meters is thickened acrylic glass, which can withstand external cold temperatures and will not crack or shatter even under extremely low temperatures. The dry-type frost-proof mechanism never comes into contact with the water, thus preventing it from freezing in cold conditions.

Common smart water meters are made from a wide variety of materials, such as stainless steel, copper, alloys, plastics, and iron. Different materials offer distinct advantages for various metering environments. With so many materials and diverse options available, these meters bring convenience to an even wider range of users.
