The difference between dry water meters and wet water meters
A wet-type water meter is a meter in which the counter is submerged in water. The meter glass is subjected to water pressure, and the transmission between the sensor and the counter is achieved via gear linkage.
A dry-type water meter is a water meter in which the counter is not immersed in water. Structurally, the sensor’s chamber is isolated from the water, and the transmission between the sensor and the counter typically uses magnetic coupling.

1. Different working environments
A wet-type water meter is immersed in water, while a dry-type water meter does not need to be immersed in water.
2. Does the watch glass withstand water pressure?
The glass cover of a wet-type water meter is subjected to water pressure, while the glass cover of a dry-type water meter is not.
3. The water meter’s mechanical sensor and counter have different transmission mechanisms.
The transmission in a wet-type water meter is gear-driven, while the transmission in a dry-type water meter is magnetically driven.
