What are the types of small-caliber water meters?

1. According to its working principle
Water meter under test: Also known as positive-displacement water meters, they are used to measure the actual flow rate of water.
Reasoning-based water meter: Also known as a velocity-type water meter, it measures the flow velocity of water and indirectly determines the volume of water passing through it.
2. According to the type of counter
Wet-type water meter: The counter is immersed in water, with a small initial flow rate and poor resistance to contamination.
Dry water meter: The counter is isolated from water, has a high initial flow rate, and provides clear readings.
Liquid-sealed water meter: The counter’s reading section is sealed with a special liquid that is isolated from water, ensuring clear readings even at low initial flow rates.
3. According to the reading instructions They can be classified into pointer-type, digital-type, and combined pointer-and-digital types. Rotary water meters, based on the structural type of the inlet port, are divided into split-type water meters and single-beam water meters. According to their installation method, they are categorized as horizontal and vertical types. Based on the operating temperature, they are further divided into cold-water meters and hot-water meters.
4. Functions of the water meter Includes anti-magnetic, bidirectional, unidirectional, split-type rotary counters, tamper-proof features, and external adjustment.
