What is an ultrasonic water meter, and what are its features?
An ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter that measures the flow rate of water by detecting the time difference caused by changes in the speed of ultrasonic sound beams as they propagate upstream and downstream in the water. This time difference is analyzed and processed to determine the water’s flow velocity, which is then used to calculate the water’s flow rate accurately.
Features of ultrasonic water meters:
(1) Utilizing ultrasonic flow measurement technology, this system features zero pressure loss and no mechanical rotating parts, thereby reducing pump energy consumption and lowering water supply costs.
(2) High reliability—can operate for extended periods at any flow point, and measurements are unaffected by magnetic interference.
