1. Ultrasonic flow meter
An ultrasonic flowmeter is an instrument that measures flow rate by detecting the effect of fluid flow on an ultrasonic beam (or ultrasonic pulse).
2. Ultrasonic water meter
An ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter that measures the flow rate of water by detecting the time difference caused by changes in the speed of ultrasonic sound beams as they propagate upstream and downstream in the water. This time difference is then analyzed and processed to determine the water flow rate, which can subsequently be integrated to calculate the total water volume.

3. Differences between ultrasonic water meters and ultrasonic flow meters
1. An ultrasonic flowmeter is a non-contact instrument that can measure the flow rate of media in large-diameter pipes as well as media that are difficult to come into contact with or observe. It boasts high measurement accuracy and is virtually unaffected by variations in the properties of the measured medium. In particular, it can address flow measurement challenges posed by highly corrosive, non-conductive, radioactive, and flammable/explosive media—issues that other instruments cannot handle.

3. An ultrasonic flowmeter is simply a device with a broad range of applications; it can measure various fluids such as water, oil, and alcohol. In contrast, an ultrasonic water meter is used exclusively for measuring water.
