The IoT water meter adopts an over-mounted structure, which reduces the number of connecting bolts on the valve body under high-pressure and large-caliber conditions, enhancing the valve’s reliability and effectively mitigating the impact of the system’s own weight on the valve’s normal operation. It features a built-in dedicated IoT card that leverages NB-IoT narrowband IoT communication technology to connect directly to operator base stations via a point-to-point transmission mode, ensuring deep network coverage and stable, reliable communication. The meter intelligently detects the direction of water flow and supports bidirectional measurement—both forward and reverse—while also displaying reverse-flow data. It incorporates multiple self-protection mechanisms, including anti-water-hammer and anti-vibration features, is immune to magnetic interference, and boasts strong anti-interference capabilities. Powered by a high-capacity lithium battery with ultra-low static power consumption, it meets the requirements for long-term use, with a battery design life exceeding 8 years.
The meter employs a non-magnetic sensing method for measurement. The sensor and the base meter components are completely mechanically and electrically separated, making maintenance convenient. The metering mechanism features a high-precision, dedicated non-magnetic core; the non-magnetic module does not obstruct or interfere with the mechanical pointer readings. The mechanical-to-electrical conversion accuracy reaches 0.001 m³. The meter supports payment via WeChat and Alipay on mobile phones, enabling prepaid functionality. It periodically uploads data and accepts pre-set valve-switching commands. In case of network abnormalities, the system automatically diagnoses the issue and resumes operation. The meter is equipped with a manual wake-up function: during non-scheduled communication periods, the communication function can be manually activated via magnetic induction, allowing data upload or execution of pre-set valve operations. The meter features a multi-layer waterproof design: the main board is fully encapsulated with potting compound, the housing is fully sealed mechanically, and the internal components—including the battery and motor—are designed to be waterproof. This results in exceptional water resistance and reliability, meeting the stringent IP68 waterproof rating standard.
