What are the characteristics of rotary water meters?
Vortex water meters have long been widely used in our daily lives, with most of them being household models. However, many people don't fully understand what a vortex water meter is. Below, we'll provide a brief introduction to the concept and key features of vortex water meters.
Vane-type water meters have a narrow operating range, large size, and are inconvenient to install and maintain. However, they feature high sensitivity and are well-suited for measuring the total flow rate of unidirectional water in small-diameter pipelines. For example, household water consumption is typically measured by these meters installed in small pipes with diameters of 15 mm and 20 mm. Such water meters consist mainly of a housing, a vane-measuring mechanism, a reduction gear, and an indicator—all of which contribute to their simple structure. Vane-type water meters are ideal for measuring the total flow rate of small water volumes; thus, most residential water meters are of this type.
