Installation method for mixing valves
A mixing valve is a type of valve that blends hot and cold water. With a mixing valve, you no longer need to heat water using a boiler, which reduces air pollution and provides better control over water temperature. Mixing valves offer high precision in water temperature control and are energy-efficient. Below, we’ll show you how to install a mixing valve.
1. The room’s mixing valve should be installed securely, as kitchen mixing valves are used frequently and tend to loosen when people move around in the kitchen; therefore, the locknut must be tightened firmly.
2. When installing or purchasing a shower/bathtub mixing valve, the outlet pipe can be embedded at an appropriate height. The distance between the hot and cold water pipes must be at least 15 centimeters. Don't forget to flush the pipes before installation. Built-in shower/bathtub mixing valve: After purchasing a built-in mixing valve, the valve’s cartridge is typically embedded in the wall.

3. When installing and purchasing single-handle basin mixer valves, pay attention to the diameter of the outlet. Currently, most inlets on the market are rigid pipes, so you need to take note of the reserved height for the inlet—ideally, it should be positioned about 35 centimeters away from the basin. During installation, you must use special angle valves, which must be securely fastened to the hot and cold water pipes that pass through the wall.
