What are the protocols for smart water meters?
Smart water meters are increasingly gaining market recognition and are completely replacing traditional mechanical water meters. Highly acclaimed, we’d like to introduce you to some knowledge about smart water meters.
A typical smart water meter consists of three main components: the meter body, a controller, and a valve. It supports protocols such as LoRa and NB-IoT. The controller of a smart water meter primarily comprises a main circuit board, an NB-IoT communication module, an antenna, an LCD display, and a battery. Smart water meters also feature functions such as calculating water bills and providing early warnings.

Smart water meters, by connecting to the NB-IoT network, can provide data analysis, support tiered water pricing in the backend, and offer alarm notifications. They also feature low-balance alerts, low-battery alerts, and remote recharging capabilities.
The above are the key features of the smart water meter network protocol. We hope this will help everyone better understand smart water meters.
