What are the key considerations when selecting a cold-water meter?
Recently, many friends have been asking how to choose the right cold-water meter. Below, we’ll introduce the key points to consider when selecting a cold-water meter.
1. When selecting a water meter, the first consideration should be the working environment—for example, the water temperature, operating hours, measurement range, and water quality—these factors all play a role in determining the appropriate meter type. The meter’s nominal diameter should be chosen based on the flow rate it will handle, ensuring that the pressure loss generated by the meter is close to but does not exceed the specified limit. In general, when the nominal diameter is no greater than DN50, an impeller-type water meter is recommended; when the nominal diameter exceeds DN50, a screw-type water meter should be used. If the water flow rate fluctuates dramatically, a multi-jet water meter is the best choice.

2. Water meters with a nominal diameter not greater than DN50 shall be selected based on the design flow rate of the water supply system.
3. Dry-type water meters should be given priority. In non-heating regions as specified by national regulations, and when the extreme minimum temperature falls below -4 degrees Celsius, dry-type water meters should be used for individual household water meters in indoor common areas. If wet-type water meters are used, they must be thermally insulated.
The above are some important considerations for selecting cold-water meters—hopefully, they’ll be helpful to everyone.

Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
