A solution to prevent the water meter from spinning when no water is being used.
In the last issue, we explained why water meters can keep spinning even when no water is being used. Many users have identified the cause but haven't found a solution yet. Below, we’ll introduce some effective solutions to help you resolve this issue and put an end to your frustration.
1. If there’s a water leak, simply locate and repair the leaking spot. In most cases, with exposed pipes, you can find the leak by carefully inspecting them. For pipes that are concealed underground, you can determine whether there’s a leak by observing the rotation of the water meter. Make sure no other appliances are leaking and that there’s no water flowing through the system; then check the water meter. If the meter is rotating at a steady pace, it could indicate a leak in the buried pipe.
2. For installations with unreasonable designs, during the design phase, exhaust valves should be appropriately arranged according to the characteristics of the pipeline to promptly remove any gases that may precipitate within the pipeline. When a newly installed pipeline or a newly installed household meter is first put into service, the valve should be opened slowly to expel all air from the pipeline and reduce the amount of dissolved gas in the water.
3. If the water meter is spinning spontaneously due to the presence of gas in the pipeline, it’s essential to remove the air from the pipeline. First, close the valve upstream of the meter and open all faucets downstream of the meter. Then, drain any remaining water from the pipeline completely. Before reopening the upstream valve, let it remain open for 1–2 minutes to allow any trapped air in the pipe to escape.
The above is the solution. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out—we’re available 24/7 to assist you and answer your queries at any time.

Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
