What’s the difference between photoelectric direct-reading water meters and smart water meters?
The reading displayed on the dial of an optical-electric direct-reading water meter is the data read directly from the meter. The data from the optical-electric water meter is mechanically recorded on digit wheels and is powered only momentarily when the data is being read.
The signal transmitted by the smart water meter is in the form of pulses. These individual pulses are remotely transmitted and then accumulated into data. If the accumulation is accurate, the resulting data will match the reading on the meter’s dial. However, if the connection is interrupted or the power is lost during the accumulation process, errors may occur. After the issue is resolved, the system will need to be reset.

Chengde Longzhida Intelligent Instruments & Meter Technology Co., Ltd. develops high-quality water meters that are easy to install and come with comprehensive after-sales service. The photoelectric direct-reading water meter we’ve developed boasts the following advantages:
1. Easy to maintain: The bus output from each direct-reading remote water meter only requires simple connection, significantly reducing the need for extensive and tedious wiring, system debugging tasks, and complex maintenance work on wiring and systems during later use.
2. Combatting jitter: Directly output the reading displayed on the dial of the remote water meter. No matter how intense the vibration, at the moment of decoding, the decoder remains stationary relative to the digit wheels, ensuring that the meter’s output reading precisely matches the reading shown on its dial.
3. No power inside the table: The electronic unit remains inactive under normal circumstances. At the moment of meter reading, power is supplied to the meter either by the system or by a manual reader, enabling data retrieval. The photoelectric direct-reading remote water meter consumes zero power, significantly reducing its failure rate and extending its service life.
4. Direct reading: The meter is equipped with an optoelectronic decoder that optically encodes the digits displayed on the dial of the photoelectric direct-reading meter. During meter reading, power is supplied to the direct-reading remote transmission water meter, activating its decoder, which then transmits the dial readings, thereby achieving “direct reading.”
5. The form has an address: Pulse meters do not have meter addresses and rely on physical wiring for identification, making both installation and maintenance extremely difficult. Direct-reading remote transmission water meters, on the other hand, have their own address codes that uniquely identify each meter; by reading the data according to these address codes, accurate data collection can be ensured.

Longzhida Company Successfully Hosted the Victory Parade Commemorating the War of Resistance.
Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
