What should I do about biomass pellet coking?
The previous article on the causes of coking in biomass pellets has attracted much attention, and many users have been asking how to solve the problem of biomass pellet coking. Below, we’ll introduce methods for removing coking from biomass pellets.
The commonly used treatment method involves flushing the furnace with high-pressure water after shutdown. Softened ash deposits tend to adhere easily to the outer walls of the heating surface tubes, making it difficult to remove accumulated coke deposits using steam blowers. However, steam blowing has the following drawbacks: (1) The medium can only clean a limited area, leaving some dead corners uncleaned; (2) The cleaning cycle is long, leading to excessive ash accumulation on the heating surfaces; (3) If the steam pressure is too high or the system is operated for an extended period, the effectiveness of steam blowing will be compromised; (4) Increased moisture in the flue gas inside the furnace can cause severe corrosion of the air preheater tubes; (5) Maintenance costs are high.
Since the aforementioned methods have many drawbacks, using a coke-inhibiting agent yields more noticeable results. Below, we’ll introduce the method of using a coke-inhibiting agent.

A slag-inhibiting agent is a high-melting-point fuel additive containing combustion promoters, which can help reduce the problem of fly ash deposition on the flue gas side. When used in conjunction with a pulsed gas sootblowing system, this agent removes accumulated ash from boiler heating surfaces through sweeping, acoustic fatigue, thermal cleaning, and localized vibration. Finally, the collected ash is entrained and carried away by the flue gas flow, thereby improving the boiler's thermal efficiency.
Next, let me introduce the specific method for using coke-inhibiting agents: 1. During boiler operation, add 8 kg of coke-inhibiting agent into the furnace chamber each day, introducing it from both sides of the furnace. Thirty minutes after adding the agent, start pulse-gas soot-blowing. 2. By employing a dual-pronged approach—using both the coke-inhibiting agent and the pulse-gas soot-blowing system—boiler main steam temperature can remain normal for about two months. Meanwhile, fouling and coking on heated surfaces are virtually eliminated, and the flue gas temperature can be reduced by 3 to 5℃ compared to when steam soot-blowers were used previously.
The above is the usage method for coke-inhibiting agents. We hope this information will be helpful to everyone. If you have any other questions, feel free to call us at 0314-5932916.

Longzhida Company Successfully Hosted the Victory Parade Commemorating the War of Resistance.
Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
