2. What is measurement uncertainty?
Answer: Measurement uncertainty is a parameter that characterizes the spread of values reasonably attributed to the measured quantity and is associated with the measurement result.
3. Where should enterprises begin their energy metering efforts?
Answer: Energy measurement is an indispensable foundation and prerequisite for enterprise production and operational management. Since energy measurement covers every stage of the enterprise’s production process—from raw material procurement and transportation to handover, process control during production, and product shipment—each step requires measuring and controlling energy consumption. Without these measurement data, it would be impossible to quantify energy consumption at each stage of production.
4. How can enterprises carry out metrological traceability work for measuring instruments?
1. Send it to a qualified inspection agency for verification.
2. The enterprise’s internal metrology organization establishes metrological standards and conducts internal verification.
3. Achieve metrological traceability by using certified reference materials.
4. When traceability to the national primary standard is impossible or not feasible, traceability shall be established by reference to recognized physical standards or reference materials, or through comparative testing and participation in proficiency testing programs, among other means of providing evidence.
