How the Lora smart water meter works
Mechanical water meters have been phased out, ushering in the era of smart water meters. Everyone is continuously developing various types of smart water meters, and the LORA smart water meter is one of them.
The LORa smart water meter is an electronic remote-transmission water meter equipped with data transmission capabilities. The meter consists primarily of a base meter section and an electronic component fitted with a LoRa module. The operating principle of the intelligent LoRa wireless remote-transmission water meter is as follows: After entering a sleep mode for a certain period, the meter waits to receive a wake-up signal that triggers it to “wake up” and begin searching. If a wake-up signal is received, the meter operates normally, transmitting and receiving data to perform meter reading. If no wake-up signal is detected, the meter returns to sleep mode.

Throughout the entire operating mode, the power consumption in meter-reading mode is not sufficiently energy-efficient. In contrast, the sleep mode only incurs standby and receive power consumption. Clearly, controlling receive power consumption is key. To achieve optimal power savings for the module, the best approach is to minimize the duration as much as possible. If the LORA spreading factor is set to its maximum value, resulting in the lowest data rate, the wake-up time must be significantly extended when transmitting the same amount of data. Conversely, if the data rate is too high, the transmission distance will be shortened, while a lower data rate consumes more power. Therefore, selecting the appropriate LORA spreading factor, data rate, and receive duration requires striking a balance among these factors.
That’s how LORA water meters work. We hope this helps you better understand and appreciate LORA water meters. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask—we’re always here to help!

Longzhida Company Successfully Hosted the Victory Parade Commemorating the War of Resistance.
Today is a day that every Chinese person should solemnly remember—the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
On July 2, Chengde Longzhida Company held a meeting with the Sino-German Institute. After thorough discussions between the two sides, Mr. Bai, General Manager of Longzhida Company, and the faculty team from the Sino-German Institute reached a consensus: Longzhida Company officially entrusted the Sino-German Institute to carry out the design and R&D work for a new type of ultrasonic water meter.
On May 30, Longzhida Company successfully held an exceptionally meaningful event titled “Welcoming the Eighth ‘National Science and Technology Workers’ Day’: Promoting the Spirit of Scientists.”
